Is How to Remove Stretch Marks Your Dilemma?

Anyone can get stretch marks. Even some men are troubled with the occurrence of stretch marks on their skin. The other groups of people who also have to wonder about how to remove stretch marks are teenagers and pregnant women.

You might be surprised that teens also have to find solutions to this problem. The explanation behind this is that their bodies grow and develop very rapidly during this stage which can make their bodies expand, thus resulting to the development of stretch marks. Pregnant women usually have stretch marks on their hips, thighs, breasts, and abdomen because of the effects of hormones and the growth of the baby inside them.

What Are Stretch Marks?

So you will be able to find the best way on how to remove stretch marks, it would also be good for you to know what these stretch marks are. These are actually scars that are deeply embedded in your skin. If it is difficult for you to get rid of a scar on the surface of your skin then all the more will it be difficult for you to get rid of stretch marks. This is why a lot of people are troubled by this dilemma.

The stretch mark is a type of scar which develops on the dermis and they become more obvious as the skin expands. This happens because as the body expands, the tissues beneath the skin will stretch and once they have reached their limit, they will begin to tear. When this happens, the collagen production is interrupted. This is bad news for the skin because collagen is produced to strengthen your skin which will keep it from tearing.

How Can Stretch Marks Be Removed?

A lot of people have tried different solutions to their problem yet they are not happy with the results. They end up hiding their bodies and feel very self-conscious. This is not good for ones esteem at all. Some people have also thought about undergoing surgery but this treatment is not for everyone. Not only is this expensive, this can also be dangerous if the procedure is not administered by experts. You will also have to go through a lot of pain again and again because this solution will not keep stretch marks away.

If you dont want to take the risk, then the best solution to your dilemma is a natural way of healing. This does not involve exercise or dieting and yet it is very safe for you.

Now if you dont believe that there is a way how to remove stretch marks without harming your skin, then you should try using an all-natural stretch mark prevention cream. This cream is safe even for pregnant women because of the ingredients that come from nature. This formula will not cause any harmful side effects and will definitely remove your stretch marks. Not only that, this cream will keep your skin strong and looking healthy. This treatment will amaze you even more because with continued use, it will prevent your skin from developing stretch marks again in the future.

Discovering Stretch Mark Removal Methods

Suffering from stretch marks? Looking for ways to get rid of it? If this is the case then you have come to the right place to find the best treatment for your problem. There are many stretch mark removal methods out there that advertise themselves to be the answer to your prayers.

Old Advertisements – A lot of people have already been persuaded by these expensive and enticing advertisements. If you have tried the treatments then you would know that they leave you dissatisfied because a lot of the stretch mark removal methods have not really done what they promised to do.

Advantages Of Surgical Methods

This is just one of the options that work. One type of surgical method is the Abdominoplasty. This treatment is also known as tummy tuck.

Child Birth – If you have just given birth, this stretch mark removal method will suit you well because your muscles are still relaxed. Actually this method is mainly for removing body fat that has been around for a long time. But surgeons have discovered that this is also one way of surgically removing stretch marks. The treatment works because once the excess skin is removed, the stretch marks on it will be done away with as well.

Risks Of Surgical Methods

Abdominoplasty is actually an aggressive and invasive procedure because it damages your skin before it takes away your stretch marks. Not only does it hurt but this treatment is not for everyone. If you are overweight, you will not be allowed to undergo this procedure because you will need to be close to your body weight before a certified physician will allow you to go for this stretch mark removal method.

Bleeding – Another risk that one has to be informed about is the chance of bleeding or infection during and after the procedure. As was mentioned before, the main goal of Abdominoplasty is actually the elimination of fats so it would seem too much if you undergo a surgery as serious as this just to remove stretch marks. It will also take a long time to heal after the surgery and in the end you will be reminded of the pain and suffering you had to endure for weeks because you will be left with a visible scar.

Enjoying Natural Methods – The most practical way to get rid of stretch marks is still by natural methods. Although exercise and the right diet will help diminish stretch marks but it is not a totally effective way of treating stretch marks and it won’t always prevent stretch marks from coming back. If you want a sure solution to your stretch marks problem you can also opt for stretch mark prevention products.

There is one product in the market that boasts of not only reducing the occurrence of unsightly stretch marks, it also tightens and strengthens your skin. It is also an effective way of keeping those stretch marks away. The best thing about this product is that it will not cost you as much as the other stretch mark solutions like surgery. Furthermore, it is safe because even pregnant women use it. Some products also let you avail of promotions that give away freebies if you purchase a certain amount of cream.

any suggestions for reducing stretchmarks and extra stretched skin without surgery?

Question by autumnrachellstarr: any suggestions for reducing stretchmarks and extra stretched skin without surgery?
i’m pregnant with my second child and naturally, i have a small frame. With my first pregnancy, I only got a few stretch marks on my hips and I used the Palmer’s cocoa butter specifically for pregnancy. It worked VERY well and I am using it for this pregnancy as well. With my first, I gained 50lbs. This time, I have already gained 50lbs and I have 4 weeks left…no I’m not eating everything I see and I actually have a pretty good and healthy diet, but my husband was 11lbs and so I’m very confident my baby is pretty big. My old stretch marks are white, but I have gotten a new strech mark below my belly button. Are there any other suggestions for reducing the visibility of stretch marks other than Palmer’s and Mederma(I will try that and I’ve heard a lot about it but it’s expensive–might be my only outlet unless you have a better idea)? Also, because I’m getting larger than the first time, and I’m pretty sure I’ll have a lot of extra loose skin. We all wonder how to get rid of it, has anyone found a pretty good method to reducing that extra skin? I had loose skin with my first pregnancy, but me and my son’s father went through a custody battle and it really stressed me out and I smoked a lot of cigarettes and did not have an appetite and I actually got rid of ALL my extra skin and more….I DON’T want to have to do that either haha. I’m very happily married and our little family so I’d like realistic and healthy methods if there are any without surgery please. I have a very big stomach piece tattoo (luckily it hasn’t stretched or gotten ruined–yet. it looks very good right now)
i know i am going to get stretch marks, the question is how to reduce the appearance of them. I am currently using Palmer’s cocoa butter which is great, and I will use mederma after the pregnancy if i cannot find any other cheaper methods…

Q&A: A few questions about side-effects after chemotherapy is finished?

Question by Zack S: A few questions about side-effects after chemotherapy is finished?
hi i am 17 years old and about to undergo my 8th out of 8 cycles (last cycle) of chemotherapy. I have hodginks lymphoma, and i have been taking beacopp for the first 6 cycles, and for the last two cycles, a similar dose except for a new drug called cysplatin. Now that my chemotherapy is about to finish, there are a few questions I wanted to ask, hopefully from a professional (I don’t feel comfortable asking my doctor these questions, and would rather ask anonymously).

1. I have a LOT of stretch marks ranging from my arms, chest, and stomach, and skin discoloring. My doctor said this is caused by the steroid prednesone i am taking. Question: Will they be able to be removed after the therapy is all over? And if so, Will it go away by itself, or will I have to take some kind of lotion of some sort for it?

2. My hair has obviously fallen off, and I was wondering how long after I have stopped chemotherapy will it start growing back (hair on my head) My eyebrows have already started to grow back but slowly.

3. I have gotten really fat (Big Stomach and a double chin) way fatter than i was before I started, and apparently was also caused by the steroid, prednesone. After stopping taking this medication which i already have, will the excess fat that I got caused from the drug disappear on its own, or will I have to exercise to get rid of it? And if so, what exercise do i do to get rid of a double chin

I know i am male and I shouldnt be so conscious about my appearance, but I wanna look as I was before I started this treatment. Hopefully somebody knowledgeable in this could reply or someone who has gone through it as well.

Thank you so much in advance!

Hi I have a different cancer but prednisone made me fat at the start too and that’s what made you get stretch marks because you grew too fast for your skin so it stretched. They will get not so obvious in time like they change from red to silver like a normal scar. My hair usually grows back to look fuzzy about 3 weeks after chemo but some people are faster and some are slower. If you go back to eating normal your extra fat might go on it’s own but you can do any exercise too like play a sport. Just ask your doctor first.

I feel like my husband doesn’t find me attractive anymore?

Question by aubsaunders: I feel like my husband doesn’t find me attractive anymore?
I would like advice on how to be more attractive to my husband.

I had a baby about 4 months ago and got really bad stretch marks. It seriously looks like I have a fence made out of fire that goes from mid-thigh all the way up past my belly button. I gained a lot of weight (but I’ve lost most of it) and so my stomach is like this saggy skin that has nothing under it. I work a lot and so I’m almost never in normal clothes, just uniforms.

It just seems like since I had the baby, he doesn’t even want to look at me anymore. He says he doesn’t make love to me because he doesn’t want to risk another child. But, we got protection and he still won’t. It’s gotten to the point where I feel like I have to use reverse-psychology just to get him to kiss me!

Point blank, I think the problem is that I’m no longer attractive to him. Does any one have any advice on how to get rid of stretch marks, saggy skin, and help me be more attractive to my husband?!

How weight changes can affect a tattoo

Many people worry about weight loss or weight gain after or before receiving a tattoo. The truth is that tattoos are hardly ever affected by either of these factors unless they are sudden and dramatic. In either case, most generally, you do not lose or gain enough weight in the particular area of your body where your tattoo is to see dramatic change. In some cases a bit of color fade or distortion may be noticed but not a major crisis most people fear when they think of the effect weight has on their tattoo.

Suppose you wish to lose weight. Your skin is going to shrink a bit. Even in a weight loss situation where you lose a lot of weight, each section of your body is not going to dramatically change unless you diet drastically and lose the weight in too short a space of time. Unless your tattoo is “very” detailed you are probably not going to notice a change in the appearance of the tattoo at all.

Worst case scenario, you have a really detailed tattoo and in a very rare case the lines in your skin may be closer together than before and may run together causing a bit of a distortion. If you crash diet or have surgery to lose weight and have a tattoo of course the results would be more noticeable. The skin would then change quickly causing sagging and flab. The tattoo would then be affected by the obvious weight loss. In this case the tattoo would be distorted and ill shaped.

If you should have a weight gain that is rather dramatic your biggest concern will be stretch marks. These marks can alter the ink in your tattoo making it appear low quality and even distorted. Stretch marks are pretty much unable to be undone which means your tattoo would have to be completely redone to look nice again. You could have to alter the original to get the best look possible. Ink would have to be deeper to try to conceal the stretch marks. The tattoo process to conceal stretch marks may be quite costly.

If you are worried about weight gain during pregnancy, the only real concern is if your tattoo is in a direct area affected by pregnancy. Direct areas would include your stomach, breasts, sides, or possibly your back if using an epidural procedure. Pregnancy will result in stretch marks and if the tattoo is in the affected area these marks are unable to be reversed. It will ruin the tattoo. If your tattoo is not in an area directly affected by the pregnancy more than likely you have no worry as to the change of your tattoo. It will be affected very little if at all.

If you enjoy working out to tone muscles you should consider placement of your tattoos in regards to the muscles you enjoy toning. You will want to consider proper placement of your tattoo to your muscle area. If properly placed, you will not have to worry that muscle gain will cause the ink to distort or fade. You will be able to continue working out once the tattoo is healed with no change to the tattoo in regards to appearance.

Getting a tattoo is a decision that needs to be well considered. In most cases a tattoo is with you for life. What you have a tattoo of, how detailed you get it ,and where you have it placed needs to be well thought through. You will want to keep it looking its best once you have it and by considering these things in advance, you can avoid any possible pitfalls inn the future, and keep those tattoos looking great.

What can affect the appearance of your tattoo?

Do you have a lot of time and money invested in tattoos? You might have most of your body covered by them. Maybe you just have one hidden in a secret little place. No matter what you have you want to take care of your tattoo. There are a lot of different things that can affect the appearance of your tattoo. So lets look at some of them how you can avoid them.

The first thing that can affect the look of your tattoo is you! Did you know that when you get a tattoo, a good artist will start with a small line and then wipe the ink away to make sure the ink took? Some people just do not hold ink! That might sound kooky but for some people when they bleed their bodies push foreign objects out. I am that way. My tattoo artist says some people just need 2 coats of paint. So make sure you find a good artist who has had a lot of years in the practice and make sure you look at their artwork. Most of them will have pictures they can show you.

Another thing that can affect your tattoo is the healing process. It might look as if your tattoo took well, but the way your body heals determines how the tattoo will look. It’s important to follow the after care instructions your artist gives you. A good artist will give you cleaning instructions. Now if your body heals like mine and scars easily you’ll probably need a touch up. If you don’t keep your tattoo clean you can get an infection which can also cause scarring.

The position of your tattoo can affect the look as well. Did you know getting a tattoo in a place where the blood flow isn’t so good can cause the ink to spread out and fade? Strange but true! Usually places like the wrists, fingers and toes have less blood flow to them. Also a place that sees a lot of friction, such as toes against socks, can cause the tattoo to fade faster. That is because the skin sheds faster due to the friction.

Weight can be a big factor in the appearance of a tattoo. You might have been bigger when you got your tattoo. As you lose weight you might start to notice sagging. This is especially true if you lose a lot of weight rapidly. You might also be surprised to see that the position has changed. That tattoo might have been in the middle of your arm when you first got it done but by losing weight and toning up it might now be slightly off centered. That’s because the skin tightens and moves when you lose weight. Also gaining weight can cause the tattoo to look faded. That’s because the skin has now stretched. A good artist will not tattoo over stretch marks that are really bad because the ink will pool under the skin and make your skin look like you have a splotch there.

Now most of us want to show off our tattoos. For that we need to expose them. Exposing them can cause fading if they are exposed too much to the sun. To keep your ink looking new make sure you put sunblock on before you go outside. Some medical treatments that involve radiation can cause fading as well.

Lastly, time will cause the tattoo to fade. Your skin continually sheds and grows new skin. This process pushes the tattoo closer to the surface and will cause fading. You will always have a mark where there tattoo was but after time it might look like a big ink smudge. Having periodic touch ups will keep it looking like new!

If you decide to get a tattoo, remember it is a life long commitment. Taking care of it will insure you stay “Pretty in Ink”. Happy tattooing!

What Are The Treatment Options Available to Reduce The Appearance of Scars?

Whether you know it or not, you probably have scars throughout your body. Some may be visible, whilst others are hidden from the naked eye. They come in all different variations and there are a variety of different treatment options to successfully reduce their appearance.

The scars which do not show up on the body are not really a problem. However, the scars that are on show for all to see are the ones which cause most people problems. Scars do not hurt, and they do not cause any medical damage, however they can cause the people who have them, a lot of mental anxiety and stress.

Some people are so embarrassed by their scars, that they take drastic measures to cover them up as best as they can. In fact, most people with scars that are visible for all to see are desperate to have surgery to remove them.

However, whilst there may be several advertisements on the television and especially upon the internet, no treatment fully gets rid of scars.

You can drastically reduce their appearance, but overall it is impossible to get rid of them completely. So what options are there available and just how much will the scars fade?

Treatment Options Available

You really should not have a problem when trying to find treatments to reduce the appearance of your scars. There are literally hundreds of products out there all claiming to work. The tricky part is actually finding one that does work, and that is not just spinning out lies to trick you into spending money!

Here are a few treatment options which most people have found to work:

Creams

Creams are readily available at your local drug store and there are quite a few to choose form. However, there are some which people recommend over others. Scarzone cream has been said to work and so does vitamin K. If you have darker skin, cocoa butter seems to work quite well too. Another good one which people recommend is Palmers skin Success Fade Cream. It contains vitamin E and many people have found it helpful.

There has also been a fairly recent product which a lot of people are raving about. That is Bio-Oil. Bio Oil is oil which is used to treat stretch marks and scars. The results do take a while to work, but it does actually work. However, everyones skin is different and so you may have to wait a few months and if you do not see any results, change products until you find one which does work for you.

Capsules

Some people even use capsules to help their scars to fade. However, they do not swallow the capsules; they break them open and spread the liquid onto the scar. A good example is vitamin E. Many doctors give this out and you can also find them at your local drug store. It does get a little messy once you are spreading it over your scar, however some people swear by it and say that over time, their scar is now almost completely gone. Cod liver oil capsules have also been used, though it has not been proven whether or not that works yet.

Surgery

Whilst surgery is an option which many people seem to think is better, it can sometimes actually make a scar look longer. All surgery leaves a new scar which takes up to two years to mature, so the results will not be instant. However, it can change the shape of the existing scar and reduce the appearance of it quite a lot. All in all though surgery is perhaps not the best answer!

Laser Surgery

If you have a red scar then lazer surgery may be able to help fade the appearance of it. Generally it is thought that by removing the top layer of skin, the scar will flatten in appearance. It does work to reduce the appearance of scars, however it can be expensive.

Overall, scars fade naturally over time, however if you really are unhappy there are several treatments available for you, the cheapest being creams. However, the very cheap option is to simply wear clothes to cover them up. Wear a long sleeve or wear a hat if you are worried about a scar on your head. This is definitely the cheapest way to go about covering up your scar!

If you do want to have them drastically reduced, lazer surgery may be the answer, but before you agree to anything it is always better to talk to your doctor or dermatologist.
