I was 114 pounds originally, and went up to 153 in my pregnancy, so I can relate (and I just turned 20 three days ago). I just had my baby a couple weeks ago, on July 3rd, and I’ve dropped to 129. I expected to step on the scale and immediately see results, but actually it took awhile because I had fluid retention from being on an IV during labor. I am still steadily dropping…I think some of that is partly due to the fact that I am breastfeeding, it helps you go back to regular size. Everyone told me I was all belly as well, and my breasts did get bigger and my hips did spread. Tried on a pair of jeans the other day and they still did not fit, but after the six-week mark I will be able to exercise again, so I expect to be in my pre-pregnancy jeans before too long. As for the stretch marks, they sort of caved in on themselves. The skin on my lower stomach is saggy and very strange feeling. The stretch marks don’t go away, but in time will turn an opaque color and fade, making them more difficult to see. I think it takes a couple years for that process. I bought a bottle of skin firming cream and it seems to have helped tone my stomach back up somewhat – I recommend buying a belly band or something to make you look slimmer afterwards, and it will also gradually help tone the skin. I am just using an ace bandage around my stomach. You will look so deflated after birth and the droopy skin will feel uncomfortable when you roll over in bed, because it just hangs. If you bandage it up, it will also prevent more stretch marks resulting from letting the skin hang loose. Good luck!

i had my baby at 23 and all those 26lbs were gone after 2weeks of giving birth. you’re young and most likely will lose that weight quick as far as your body…you might fit into those jeans but maybe not fit the same…it takes time. live a heathly life style : )

stretch marks…my baby is about to turn 10mo. and they are fading but still there! : (

I had my first son when I was 21. I weighed 116 lbs before I got pregnant and I weighted 160 when he was born.

Having a baby does not mean you have to be fat. Lots of new moms regain their pre-pregnancy figure within 8-12 months. When the baby is born, you will loose approx. 12-14 lbs. This is weighed gained primarily from the baby, placenta and fluids in your body. For the first three months or so after the birth concentrate on healthy eating and develop your own exercise plan. Then when your body has begun to recover and when your period has returned to normal start following a healthy, low fat weight-loss plan and you will lose weight.
It takes time for your body to get back to normal.

You can apply cocoa butter or any type of stretch mark cream to reduce the appearance of stretch marks. And they will naturally fade over time.

    1. Lotions work for stretch mark..
    2. You can get fit and in perfect shape through exercise and diet.
    3. Size of your breast and your areola changes after pregnancy. Though it can reduce from the pregnancy size, it will always be bigger than your pre-pregnancy size.

I went from 105 lbs to 165 lbs with every pregnancy. Within 3 months of the first three deliveries, I was back to normal weight. The key is to stop eating like you are pregnant after delivery. With the last two, because I was older, it was a lot harder. You are young, it won’t be as hard. I had the first 3 when I was 16, 19, and 28. The last 2 when I was 30 and 33. I think even if a lot of people aren’t ready mentally to be a parent at that age, physically, it is ideal to have them younger. your body bounces back much easier. As for the hip issue.. they will go down. Slight increase is normal, but usually it is a weight issue, not an pelvis issue. Hope this helps!

I researched the stretch marks question and everything I came up with said they’ll fade with time and no cream or potion is going to make that happen faster. Bummer, huh? I was hoping there’d be something, but nope.

When my mom had my older brother (10 lbs, 4 oz, god bless her!) she went home for the hospital in the SAME jeans she’d worn before she got pregnant, a size 2!! She had me almost 7 years later and still fit in a size 6 after giving birth! Impressive, eh?

You’re young and the body is like a big rubber band. Everything that stretches out can shrink back down. Expect to have a “baby belly” though, where the skin is a bit looser around your belly than it used to be. That’s what most women who come into my gym complain about to their personal trainers. It’s hard to get rid of, but it is possible. Then again, one of my friends has had 3 kids and has no belly at all. It’s going to take time to find out what your body will do, so eat well, drink tons of water, and enjoy the fact that your body gave you the beautiful baby you’re about to have!

tanning helps them seem less noticable but nothing is gonna get rid of them some people swear on maderma. i dunno i just let mine be. and my hips no they never went back down and i had big hips to begin with,.

Mine never spread so they look the same as they did before I got pregnant and I had a c-section. I wouldn’t call you selfish, you are curious about the changes happening to your body. I was the same way but I was pregnant at 18. I had really bad stretch marks when I was pregnant I got them on my butt, thighs, belly, boobies, and down there and now 15 months later you can’t even see them. When I was pregnant I couldn’t find any type of lotions that would get rid of them or prevent them but they will fade in time just make sure you drink lots of water throughout and after your pregnancy. Before I got pregnant with my daughter i weighed 126 and the day she was born I weighed 156. I am now 125 pounds. You just have to make sure you excerise properly and eat healthy espcially if you are thinking about breast feeding.

hun you’re fine. I’ve been there, same age too. It’ll go away if this is your first, but if it’s your second, you should’ve watched your weight. I weighed 113 when I got knocked up at 16 and ended up weighing about 150 when I popped, then I weighed LESS after baby, after a few months. Then this time at 19, my husband and I had another baby, and now… I’m still about 8 or 10 pounds heavier than I was. Maybe 15? I dunno. ANyways, just don’t drink juice or milk a lot and no pop. water is your friend, and it also helps your skin (stretch marks). they will not go away no matter what you do, but I’ve heard good things about maderma, and you could try bio oil, but honestly, time is what heals them and makes them less noticable. after I had baby (I had a c-section) I thought I’d never look good again but after the first one (now I’m a cow) I was fine, and actually feeling better about myself than before. when you’re a mother, you grow up a little, and things like that are less important. good luck with your child.

with my second I was 102lbs before pregnancy went up to 145lbs, I tried getting my jeans on at 6 mths, couldn’t get them past my thighs, lol by 3 mths postpartum I was in those jeans, at 6 mths postpartum I was wearing everything again, your hips do stay a little wider, but ive always fit back into my pre-pregnancy clothes after, best wishes

Everyone is different. If you change your eating habits after the baby and workout you should get back to pre-baby weight and shape. As for the stretch marks coco butter lotion helps.
