how to fade stretch marks
Oh I’m so sorry you’ve had such a hard time with this. I think, if possible, you should speak with your doctor or even better, a dermatologist.
In the meantime, go to this website http://www.bio-oil.info/en/uses/stretch-marks and read about how they are caused and who are more prone to having them. Adolescents undergoing sudden growth spurts are part of that group. Which may explain why you have them…
I found this site after buying Bio Oil at my local pharmacy to help fade some scars that I have. I put it on most days for four months and it worked really well. They faded to where you have to really look for them in order to see them.
After seeing the results of me using the oil, my sister started using it on her stretch marks about a month or so ago, and they are definitely less obvious. The site says while the marks wont disappear, they will improve them.
The bottle costs about $ 15… I think if you can, its worth trying.
Also, something you should try to remember, as the others have stated – its a really common and normal condition. Hard as it seems, try to fight the feeling of insecurity. Missing out on all those things in your life isn’t fair. As you get older you will realise that people who are worth knowing are those who love you and accept you for who you are, not for how smooth and mark free your skin is. No one worth a damn, would care about these marks.
In fact, you’ll be surprised when you’re twenty five or thirty just how few people from school you hold onto. And, it will probably be the handful of friends who allowed you to feel comfortable being you and who made you feel good no matter what.
I guess what I’m saying is: If they are not real friends then f*** them. Their opinions aren’t important to you. Spend your time with people who matter, who are worthy of your time.
And if you still feel self conscious about going to the school prom, why not go anyway? You don’t have to wear a sleeveless, cropped outfit… a dress with a short bolero or shrug type jacket could look gorgeous… just don’t miss out on the special moments in your life because of this.
Best wishes… hugs.
I would visit a dermatologist and see what they have to say. They have some pretty strong creams that may make them really fade fast. I use 100% pure vitamin E oil and it seems to be fading them…slowly.
Laser surgery is another option. You should go to a skin care place and get a free consultation to see what they could do for you.
Also I heard that if you suddenly get stretch marks everywhere and its not due to weight gain or growing then it could be a hormonal imbalance so your best bet is probably to visit a dermatologist so those types of things can be ruled out.
Just remember that stretch marks are natural so dont be ashamed of them!!
