how to fade stretch marks
I gained 80 lbs with my son and didn’t get any stretch marks. I used cocoa butter but that doesn’t mean anything. It’s hereditary.
I’m 31 weeks and don’t have any on my belly so far. I did get some on my breasts as those grew like 5 sizes practically overnight. But, I’ve been using Bio Oil on those and they have faded and are barely noticeable now. I’ve been using that on my belly too. I’m not sure if it really is preventing them or not, but my skin looks/feels good there still and doesn’t show many signs of me getting any marks. I really do recommend it!
well look @ your mom and grandmother. that is a good way to tell whether or not yours will go away or if you will get any major ones. ive been usuing co co butter since dec and im 33 weeks with no stretch marks… but thats also because my grandma and mom didnt get any. so really, it all depends on your genes. if you keep usuing the lotion though you should be fine
good luck =]
go buy bio oil. it is the best thing in the world. if you have some already then it will make them fade till hardly noticble. i was 103 when i got pregnant and i gained 45 pounds and my baby weighed 8 pounds 11 ounces and i dont have a single stretch mark. i used bio oil everyday and i recomend it entirely. My sister on the other hand used the cocoa butter and got a bunch of stretch marks. After she had the baby she rubbed the bio oil on everyday and now they are hardly noticable. And for everybody saying its a genetic thing. my mom had a ton of stretch marks
Stretch marks are caused by two things
1. genetics- if your mother, or your dad’s mother got them then you are more like to get them.
2. and gaining weight too quickly- then they are more likely to happen and more likely to be bigger
Hydrating the skin with vitamin E lotion, might help the appearance and it isn’t going to hurt anything. How much vitamin E really does help is very debatable. So my best advice is just try to gain your weight slowly and steady and use an inexpensive Vitamin E lotion once daily.
I have them on my back due to growing so my mom rubs cocoa butter on them. There not as need and purple anymore.
you cnt get rip ov stretch marks, but u can get sum stuf 2 make them fad, but not every 1 gets them.
I never got many stratch marks. I used an Avon stretch mark prevent product, but who knows if it really worked. It smells really good though and makes your skin glittery. the very few that I got, small ones on my hips and under my breasts have already faded (used avon product for existing stretch marks) I gave birth 20 months ago, and they have been just about non existant for a while now. You wouldn’t even know i had them at all. I think stratch marks have a genetic factor. Both my grandmother and mother never had them bad.
Just continue using lotion religiously, Don’t forget about any you may get from the milk in your breasts, after the milk goes away you might have some on there, but when your baby gets here if you breastfeed you can’t do that. Also, get body wash like Dial with yogurt in it, or Softsoap with shea butter. That’s what I’ve been using, and I think it’s helping a lot.
I didn’t get any until I was about 6 months also, then they were showing up all over the place.
You can’t get rid of them. Heredity determines how likely you are to get them.
Lotions and creams don’t stop them. They may help prevent them, but that’s it.
Yes!
Stretch marks are typically genetic. I have read no matter how much lotion you put on, if your skin genetically does not have good elasticity, you will prob get them. Does your mom have them? If yes, then you prob will have them. Keep putting lotion on, keeping that area moisurized will help, but not prevent
You can’t get rid of them. Once you have them, you always have them, though they will eventually fade overtime and be hardly noticeable if you don’t get very many. I started out with just a couple and by the end of my pregnancy *only 8 months* my stomach looked like I got mauled my a lion, tiger & a bear!
You get them if you get them, there really isn’t anything you can do to completely prevent them.
They say it’s in your genes, if your mom got them, you will get them. But my mom didn’t get them, I was just cursed with battle scars.
