First and foremost what i love about this product is that it’s natural, is not used in animal testing, and has a very low toxicity rate (according to ewg.org) with no cancer causing chemicals, unlike most of the common moisturizers out there. All it takes is a few drops to cover the face and works best after a shower. The scent is moderately strong soap-type smell but will not stay with you for long, although some may not be pleased with it. It absorbs into the skin rather quickly so your face does not seem oily.

I find Olivella is best used overnight because when i woke up i had a fresh young glow to my skin and was pleased with the results. Some should be advised that you may be allergic to the ingredients and do a test before hand. Even if you are not allergic, when i first used the product my skin did break out but i had remembered reading somewhere how since the it can actually help normalize your skin that breakouts are sometimes a common thing in the beginning so i continued to use it. I’m glad i did because it definitely proves it’s worth keeping.

I also have mix combo of oily/dry skin so i try to focus on the dry areas while using benzoyl peroxide on any areas that seem they are about to break out. I found this combination to work better than anything i have ever tried so now i can proudly say i have finally found my secret to healthy skin. Hopefully this may help others!

Listen to me ~ if you believe none of the other reviews I am here to tell you this product is a miracle! I rarely write letters to companies but this one did it for me. I had to let them know they’ve got the right stuff!

I am 42 and have had combination skin that gets much oilier during the warmer months. This product is one that I have used for two years now exclusively as my night oil and it has become a mainstay in my cabinet.

Here’s the trick, though. After cleansing my face (I also use Olivella bar soap) I leave my face dripping wet. One short pump and those few drops glide over my entire face, my ears AND the front and back of my neck. It doesn’t take much at all but a moist face just isn’t enough. Just massage it in as your face air dries and the moisture left behind is heavenly. Not the slightest bit oily at all. And don’t skip your lips. No fine lines around mine and my lipstick proves it – no more creeping into fine lines around my lips. They’re smooth now.

I have a tendency to be a night owl so I often don’t wait until before bed to apply this wonderful elixir. If I know I’ll be working late into the night, I’ll apply it in the early evening and allow it to work overtime.

What’s ironic is that when I first started using the soap, I couldn’t justify the cost of this moisturizer. It seemed far too much for such a little bit. But when I consider how much cream I had to scoop out of jars over the years, this is now an actually very inexpensive product with so much promise. I assure you whatever your complexion, your skin will thank you for adding this to the regimen.

I no longer use an eye cream, no special neck cream at all – all I need is Olivella and my skin thanks me every day. Finally a product worthy of a letter and a review. Do try it and again, do not apply to merely moist or dry skin. Wetter is better and as an extra treat, when you’re done, rub the residue into your cuticles. Even my manicurist is shocked over how I no longer have raggedy cuticles that I’ve suffered since forever.

I am 35 with very sensitive, dry, and acne prone skin and this is the ONLY product that really works. I was my face with cetaphil and aveeno and then use this product after, morning and night. It keeps my skin clear and hydrated without leaving a greasy feel. I saw results in about a week and I would recommend this product to anyone, with problem skin or not. The price may seem steep at first but this size will last at least 2 months using it 2x’s daily so its not so bad. When I say I have tried everything, I mean it. 7 years ago I started having problems with my skin and tried everything from Proactive to Accutane with my dermatologist as well as almost every over the counter product. Either it was too drying or didnt clean well enough or the worst….too greasy!! After I had been using this product for about 6 months I decided to try something else to try to save some money and within 1 week my skin started to act up again. Needless to say I went right back on my regime with Kinerase! If you are fed up with the product merry go round, this one is worth one more try. I ‘ve used this for almost a year now and I waited until now to rate it to know for sure if it was all it seemed cracked up to be. It is now one of my Must haves!!

I first was told about this product by my dermatologist when undergoing my usual skin cancer cuttings (having been a ‘sun bunny’ growing up at the beach in FL). Was told this was an excellent moisturizer and also faded ‘sun spots’ on the face and neck area. Well, I am living proof that this is definitely true! Moving from FL to AZ (frying pan to fire), this product has been a godsend for my skin – especially in the dry Arizona dessert area. I could not live without it and Amazon has the BEST price. Highly recommend it.

I was so surprised after a few weeks of using this product. My scars look years old, and I recently had surgery about 6 weeks ago! The scars used to be raised and bright red and purple, but not anymore. They are smooth and almost all the color has disappeared. It looks as if they have been healing for years. The only complaint that I have it the adhesive wears off after 3-4 days and each strip is supposed to last a whole week. Other than that, it’s a great product.

ScarAway Professional Grade Silicone Scar Treatment Sheets – 12 Re-usable 3″ x 1.5″ sheets

My plastic surgeon recommended ScarAway silicone sheets for treatment of a 6″ long and 1/4-1/2″ wide jagged, irregular, red, thickened scar that resulted from surgery on my arm after an accident. I have to admit I was skeptical because I had never heard of silicone for scars before, but the difference is nothing short of amazing! I used this item every day as directed. During just the first few days my scar tissue was softened tremendously. after finishing the therapy, the entire scar flattened and faded dramatically…no one even notices it as the texture of my skin and the color are no longer rough and red and have transformed like I never imagined it could. Overall this item was simple to use and very effective. I was surpised by the result, my surgeon, however, was not…as he said that silicone sheet therapy has been used in hospitals and to treat burn scars for a long time. My only complaint is that it was hard to find. I found it online and have been told it is also available in medical supply stores, but not regular pharmacies. so I would suggest they make it available in stores.

I had hoped this would be the same as Strixaderm which priced itself out of my desire to pay. It is good for my hands, but it made my face break out. I do have very sensitive skin, but, on the other hand, at over 65 years of age, I seldom break out. So, be aware it is not a perfect substitute.

I love this product. I can’t use strixaderm as the scent of it makes my allergies go crazy. This product doesn’t have that affect but keeps the wrinkles at bay.

I had very dark & shiny “tiger stripes” all over my hips, butt and stomach. I first ordered this product two or three months after I had my baby (I think). I was afraid at first because when I googled the reviews of women who said it worked and well….they weren’t women of color, but for the cheap price I figured it was worth a try and if it didn’t work then, oh well, I can use it as moisturizer However It worked wonderfully; I kept up with my progress by posting pictures on my blog. In my opinion the ONLY con is that the tube doesn’t last that long so my suggestion would be buy two at a time.

This product is amazing. After using it for just a few days my stretch marks had completely faded. I used it during my entire pregnancy and even after, it was the only thing that would soothe my dehydrated skin. You make a lot of sacrifices (sleep! relaxing showers! alone time!) as a mom, but beautiful skin is not one of them.

This is the best product on the market for STRETCH MARKS!! I have four beautiful children, and I had several deep stretchmarks on my stomach, legs, and breast. I have been using this cream for approximately 3 weeks and I can really see a GIGANTIC difference to the problem areas. There are some areas that will take a little longer, but all scars are fading. I never review products but I had to write about this one. I’ve always been very skeptical with stretch mark creams because it never works for me and my skin is super sensitive so if I happen to choose the wrong one, I WILL get a bad rash. My friend actually mentioned this one to me saying it made her skin feel super smooth. I tried hers and was sold. I had visible stretch marks on my belly from the pregnancy and now its so light I can barely see them. On top of that, my skin seriously feels so smooth (the husband loves this btw!). I just bought my second one and it still works great!

I have never used a peel anywhere near this potent ( usually 10% drugstore brands) so I was VERY careful. I just left it on a few minutes. However, it was so hot that I doubt I could have stood it much longer even had I wanted to. I had never had a professional facial so did not know what to expect. I am really excited about using this as I can see it is powerful and effective. I left it on my lips just seconds and all the old skin just came right off! I expected my lips to crack and bleed after that but they didn’t! I have always been a ‘do it yourselfer’ including filler injections for face but this I would caution not to overdo it as it could damage your skin . It definitely is effective so if you can use extreme restraint, try it. Start with a small area first so you see how it works. I also used it on my son’s back for acne as he did not want to use Acutane again. It was not so hot to him and worked very well with just one application. We are going to do some more on him as well. You can also use a Q-tip to do specific areas , lines, pimples,scars, etc. Oh, even after three weeks my skin still has color to it whereas before I was very pale as I have been dealing with a long term illness. I look healthier now too!

This peel actually works very well but as stated before I wouldn’t start with this one. If left on too long it can cause serious damage. I am very pleased with the overall results and with each peel I can see more results. Scars are fading and also fine lines.

UPDATE 2: Bio-oil continued to work, and it actually helped the scar area look all the same when I got some sun on it this summer. I did find a picture of the original injury (it’s not for the squeamish, but it will show how long my original was. UPDATE: It has been a little over three weeks since I started using Bio-oil. In fact, I stopped using it four days ago to see if the positive results were only temporary. While I was using Bio-oil on the liver spots, not only did the spots fade, but other nearby spots (2.5 inches away) faded, too, even though they were not applied directly with Bio-oil. The spots came back after two days of not using Bio-oil, not as dark, as they were, but they did come back. My forehead scar has continued to disappear even after I stopped, so I am going to continue putting Bio-oil on it. Not only has the scar tissue turned from being reddish to now looking like the my regular skin color, the area of the scar which was a little higher is now decreasing to where I can hardly feel the any rise in the area. I will update this review in another 2-3 weeks, and try to take some pictures of the scar. The pictures I took three weeks ago didn’t show as much as it really looks like, but it did show the higher rise. I’ll post whatever the final pictures look like and compare them to the original wound (really bad looking) and those from three weeks ago, along with the final pictures in two weeks.

When I saw this product offered to “Vine” participants, I thought it would be one that my wife, who is a fair-skinned blond, could use. She applied it to a place on her arm for several days before I asked her about it. When I looked at her arm, I could immediately tell where she had used it for that area was smoother looking and even felt smoother.

This got me very interested in Bio-Oil, and I thought I’d use it on a scar on my head near my hairline and on a “liver” spot (or is it called an “age” spot?), and I have been very pleased with the results.

The scar is a little over two inches long in the shape of an “L,” and for the three years I’ve had it, almost an inch of it was still reddish and has looked like it was still healing. The doctor who treated me told me to put Neosporin on it, and it would heal without much of a scar. Well, he was wrong. Now, in the week that I have been using Bio-Oil, the red part of the scar has decreased in length to where it is only 1/4th of an inch in length. The liver spot on the back of my hand has decreased in color to where it is difficult to find.

Like one other reviewer, I am going to post a follow-up to this review in several weeks to let you know two things: 1) Did both areas, the scar and the liver spot, continue to improve, and 2) What happened once I stopped applying Bio-Oil, for it is one thing for a product to work, but it is even better if the product produced some sort of permanent result.

NOTE: The results are in. The liver spots came back after I stopped applying Bio-oil, but the scar stayed healed, and I am posting two pictures. I hate to say it, but after I got such great initial results, I didn’t apply Bio-oil on a regular basis, so your results with the liver (aging) spots may be better. Of the two pictures, one shows how the scar looked after the doctor treated it and had me use Neosporin. That picture was taken in 2005 after it had been healed for a year. The scar was still very visible and looked this way even three years later before I started using Bio-oil. The second picture was taken just a few days ago. I am pretty confident I could have had even better results, but I’m just not used to treating myself for anything for more than three weeks.

Heck not every product out there is a miracle worker, I am sure very few give overnight results. I began using this product every single day about two months ago and it works WONDERS. First you can use it for stretch marks but with a 2 oz. bottle I would stick with small areas. Then you can use it for scars and to moisturize your face and neck, ladies! You must follow the instructions even though they are pretty simple. If I am using this for acne scars, skin discolorations (sun exposure), uneven skin tone I apply either over makeup (may not be recommended as this could remove your makeup)and on a freshly washed face. I use the lengths of my fingers not fingertips since they produce the oils that could cause you breakouts from YES touching your face. I rub into the affected area or scar (even works on cystic acne scars) atleast two to three times a day when I am able to. But if not I do this at night before going to bed. Be patient and wait one to two weeks before you notice a big difference as the scar gets lighter your face appears to be glowing and skin discolorations slowly fade. Keep on it atleast everyday and if you want faster results like I did then rub this oil into the area two to three times a day. I am glad I bought this and one bottle lasted me over two months and I used it everyday! Give this product a try, be patient, follow the directions and you may not be disappointed.
